Conditions of Entry
1. Information regarding the prizes and how to enter forms part of these Conditions of Entry. By entering the BASF Certified Pest Manager Competition (Competition), entrants accept these Conditions of Entry.
2. Entry is open only to Licensed Australian Pest Control Operators who have completed the 4 x BASF courses / accreditations (Termidor, Trelona ATBS, Seclira, Selontra) and received their 'BASF Certified Pest Manager' certificate, by the end of the competition period.
Directors, officers, management or employees (and the immediate family members of directors, officers, management or employees) of the Promoter or of its related bodies corporate (including any company within the BASF Group) or of the agencies or companies associated with this Competition are not eligible to enter.
3. The Competition begins at 8.00am (AEDT) on 12/07/24 and closes at 5.00pm (AEST) on 30/09/24 (Competition Period).
4. To enter, entrants must, during the Competition Period:
(a) Have completed the 4 x BASF courses / accreditations (Termidor, Trelona ATBS, Seclira, Selontra) with an authorized BASF employee or via the BASF Digital Learning Hub (pest-control.basf.com.au/LearningHub) and;
(b) Have received their 'BASF Certified Pest Manager' certificate, to be eligible for one (1) entry into the prize draw.
5. All entrants who have already received their 'BASF Certified Pest Manager' certificate will be automatically entered into the draw by BASF.
6. All newly certified 'BASF Certified Pest Manager' that have received their certificate from BASF by 30/09/24 (end of competition period) will be automatically added to the draw by BASF.
7. BASF takes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence due to the Licensed Australian Pest Control Companies' error.
8. The prize is one (1) free learning experience at BASF's Termites Trial site in Townsville, QLD for two (2) people from the same winning pest control company. It includes 2 x flights to Townsville from an Australian capital city airport pick up/drop off, 2 nights’ accommodations for two (2) people, all meals and trial site visit, for the total value of
$4,000. Trial site visits will be organised between the winning pest control operator and BASF from March to July 2025.
9. The prize draw will take place at 12:00pm (AEST) on 02/10/2024 at BASF Australia Pty Ltd, Level 12, 28 Freshwater Place, Southbank VIC 3006. The first valid entry randomly drawn from all entries received during the Competition Period will win the prize.
10. The winner will be notified by phone and in writing and will have their name and state/territory of residence published in various trade publications and on the BASF website. By entering this Competition, each Entrant requests that his or her full residential address not be published.
11. The winner must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in any promotional material with no limit as to time.
12. If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these Conditions of Entry, that entry will be discarded and a new winner of the prize will be determined by drawing a further valid entry in accordance with term 10. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
13. The total prize pool is valued at up to $4,000.00 (inc GST) This prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
14. The Promoter, its related bodies corporate, as well as its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any persons negligence) in connection with this Competition or accepting or using this prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
15. If the prize has not been accepted or claimed within 3 months of the draw, the relevant winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter will conduct such further draws on 08/01/2025 at the same time of day and at the same location as the original draw as are necessary to distribute the prize, subject to any requirement of any gaming authority.
16. The Promoter may require Entrants to provide proof of identity, proof of purchase, proof of age and proof of residency. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.
17. The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this Competition by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Competition or acts in violation of these Conditions of Entry, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
18. If for any reason any aspect of this Competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities, if required.

20. This Competition is a game of skill and as such does not require a permit to operate.
